Day 1
Kilimanjaro Airport - Moshi Town
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Pick up and meet your guide, then drive to Moshi Town, almost 30 min drive from the airport for overnight.
Day 2
Moshi Town – Mkomazi National Park
Wake up in Moshi with a splendid view of Mt. Kilimanjaro (on a clear day). After some shopping in this nice town we drive to Mkomazi National Park.
Mkomazi National Park is set below the slopes of the spectacular Usambara Mountains and supports several dry specialists species (rare elsewhere in Tanzania) including the fringe eared oryx, lesser kudu and gerenuk. Mkomazi is contagious with Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park.
Day 3
Mkomazi National Park – Arusha National Park
Early morning game drive in Mkomazi National Park. Transfer to Arusha National Park afterwards. Part of Arusha National Park is Mount Meru, the smaller brother of Kilimanjaro.
Arusha National Park is the closest national park to Arusha town. The park has a great diversity in habitats and animals and the landscape is very beautiful, overlooking Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro.
Day 4
Arusha National Park – Tarangire National Park
Early morning game drive in Arusha National Park. Transfer to Tarangire National Park afterwards. Game drive in the afternoon in this beautiful National Park, with chances of seeing lions, elephants, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe and many more.
Tarangire National Park stretches south east of Lake Manyara around the Tarangire River. It is most spectacular in the dry season from June to November, when several thousands of animals migrate to the last remaining pools of the Tarangire River.
Day 5
Tarangire National Park – Lake Eyasi
In the morning we drive to the beautiful Lake Eyasi, home of the bushman (Hadzabe). Today we visit the Datoga tribe and see their local way of living.
Day 6
Lake Eyasi - Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning adventure with the Hadzabe (Bushman). Visiting them is like stepping into a movie (like “The gods must be crazy”). We spend time with them hunting and visit their village. The Hadzabe are hunter gatherers and are the last remaining bushman of Tanzania.
Afterwards we drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning adventure in the Ngorongoro Crater where there are high chances of seeing THE BIG FIVE. The crater also includes a spectacular Soda lake with flamingos. Afternoon lunch at Hippo Pool Picnic site is unforgettable experiences before afternoon ascend the Crater but remain in the scenic view above it.
The Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife, inside a self-contained world teeming with animals, with very good chances of seeing THE BIG FIVE.
Day 8
Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park (Ndutu area)
On this day we will drive through Ngorongoro Highlands to the endless plains of the Serengeti. On this day it is possible to visit a Maasai Boma (kraal) to get more familiar with their daily life activities (optional). Afterwards we proceed to Lake Ndutu, which technically borders between Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
This place is rich in various types of birds in both water bodies and savannah and also for the large animals of the savannah.
Day 9
Serengeti National Park (Ndutu area) - Serengeti National Park (Seronera area)
Driving through the corners of Serengeti in Ndutu area, one of the best opportunities to see the rare African bat eared foxes and Genet Cat. Afterwards we drive to Seronera Valley for a full day tour.
Seronera is in Central Serengeti, the heart of wild Africa, a massive wilderness of 14500 square km, where every day brings a new landscape and a new adventure.
Day 10
Serengeti National Park (Seronera area)
Full day game drive in central Serengeti. One of the best places to see lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Optional ballooning (not included) to see the animals from the air.
Day 11
Serengeti National Park (Seronera area) - Serengeti National Park (Lobo area)
Early morning game drive in Seronera to catch up with the African wild sunrise with active animals in the morning, like lions, leopards and cheetahs, before breakfast.
Before we leave Seronera we shall have a brief tour in the Serengeti Migration Centre for information and updates of the park. We can also make a stop in Olduvai Gorge (famous and interesting place where our ancestors have been found). Game drive on the way to the Lobo area.
Day 12
Serengeti National Park (Lobo area) – Lake Natron
Early morning game drive in Lobo area. Afterwards we leave the park through the northern gate while having a game drive on our way.
On this way we shall be able to see the connectivity of Serengeti and Maasai Mara landscape as we proceed to Lake Natron in the basin of the Great Rift Valley, a land where the Maasai stay close to their famous active volcano, Oldonyo Lengai.
In the afternoon we make a walk to a natural shower (waterfall). It is also possible to drive/walk to the lake to see the flamingos.
Day 13
Lake Natron – Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning we can drive/walk to the lake or visit the Maasai. Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park in the afternoon.
Lake Manyara is Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife area, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lions.
Optional night game drive in the evening.
Day 14
Lake Manyara National Park - Kilimanjaro Airport
Early morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park if time allows. Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your outbound flight afterwards.
